Years of experience in software development have confirmed one thing time and again: Customers want uncomplicated, high-performance and reliable applications that are open to the integration of new technologies.

The use of tried and tested development tools makes it possible to concentrate the development effort almost exclusively on the realisation of special application requirements. Over the years, large departments in the city administration, industrial companies (window construction, pulp mill) but also federal ministries have successfully applied our solutions.

Being involved in and leading international IT research projects enables us to continuously integrate new applications into existing applications and offer state-of-the-art technology. Using standards (WebServices), successful, proven developments are integrated into current systems and applications, such as workflow or document management, and are independent of operating systems (Windows, Linux, Solaris, …). We also implement cloud technologies and machine learning (AI).

The international research or collaborative projects in which AIT has participated (LoCloud, EUROPEANALocal, DISMARC, OpenUp!, …) and also coordinated (Rhinodiagnost, REGNET) have their focus on the development of comprehensive IT solutions and service portals for the medical sector and cultural heritage (MLA – Museums, Libraries and Archives).

With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have expanded our research activities in the field of simulation and support of human respiration (Spiritum) and intensified our cooperation with medical partners. One research focus here is on the development of personalised ventilation solutions and training devices for medical training.
