AIT Angewandte Informationstechnik Forschungsgesellschaft mbH was founded in 1979 and specialises in sustainable database solutions for a wide range of applications.

In addition to developing software solutions, e.g. for administrative automation, the company has been involved in national and international IT research projects since the 1990s, continuously integrating new applications and state-of-the-art technologies into existing applications.

Research activities focus in particular on IT solutions and service portals for the medical sector and cultural heritage (MLA – Museums, Libraries and Archives).

We work with an international network of partners and also co-operate in the transfer of knowledge.
