DIScovering Music ARChives
.png)
European music archives, broadcasting institutions, and private and public collections contain extensive holdings of music archival material. These musical materials include not only recordings, but also videos, books, documents, manuscripts, and instruments. However, these holdings are rarely accessible to the public, and a combined search across multiple collections is not possible.
The DISMARC project aims to improve this situation by developing a common exchange platform. AIT implemented the DISMARC platform and continues to operate it.
