AIT – Angewandte Informationstechnik Forschungsgesellschaft mbH in Graz, together with the Centre for Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering at the Medical University of Vienna, developed a low-cost ventilator as part of the FFG Emergency Calls Covid-19 project, which is operated with a 3D-printed, space-saving rotary pump. Using a variety of sensors, flexible software enables all ventilation modes that can otherwise only be provided by high-end devices.
