Since the beginning of the 1980s, AIT Forschungsgesesellschaft mbH has been implementing applications in the administrative sector, such as for newspaper distribution, record distribution, the jewellery trade, but also other multimedia applications such as the archiving programme for the Graz image and sound archive, or the digital archiving of a collection of legal photo documents.
Administrative automation solutions for UNIX computers and RISC systems were developed for numerous departments of Graz City Council. Our public administration customers also include the provincial government (workflow management system), various political parties (newspaper archive) and the Federal Ministry for Education and the Arts together with the Austrian Central Statistical Office (database production of the annual ‘Austrian School Statistics’).
An important area within our activities is the individual counselling of companies on feasibility and possible solutions in IT management and database design. We deal with both technological and business management issues and the development of efficient concepts for knowledge management (knowledgebase design) and data recovery. The aim is to efficiently support the operational value creation process on the basis of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and to optimise the control of business and operational processes with the help of information technology.
We also help with the conceptualisation of projects and take on the project management for international or national IT projects (e.g. Regnet, Rhinodiagnost).
